The initial design for Twisted House, Kent, showed the roof with both a horizontal-wave and also a spiral twist in the appearance.

Zinc batten roll using a 1mm thick black zinc was initially considered for the roof and cladding. However, after taking expert advice from the London-based metal roofing contractor and The Metal Roof Company, it was decided that Nordic Night black GreenCoat PLX offered the best metal solution.

The black standing seam roof on this contemporary barn style property was installed in 2019. The property has appeared on a number of design publications including best metal roof UK 2019.
